Imagine Person A of your OTP as a superhero, and Person B as their supervillain nemesis, each trying to convert the other to their side. Every time they meet, they end up flirting while they fight and having incredibly strong romantic/sexual tension with each other.
I sort of had an idea like this — American McGee’s Corpse Bride Dr. Horrible crossover. Victor as Dr. Horrible, Emily as Penny, Victoria as Moist, Barkis as Captain Hammer. Where does Alice come in, you ask?
Well, I’m a horrible human being and kill off both Emily AND Victoria at the end of the first part of the crossover. Alice comes in in the second as a new superheroine, and after a few scraps she and Victor end up getting attracted to each other. And then she meets him in the laundromat, and is shocked to discover the person behind the facade is so broken and shy…
It ends happily, with Victor helping save Alice from a newly-villain Barkis and giving up his evil ways, but it’s pretty angsty before that. As befits something with the stamp of Whedon, I suppose.
AND WE’RE DONE! “Finding You” is now completed edited and hopefully much shinier and better for the experience! :D Here’s your last chapter, which I assure you is still full of Victor/Alice feels, even as it sets up dark days ahead…

Another chapter’s up! This one’s gotten some severe editing done on it — and it espouses my own views about Alice’s “not looking too closely at what Bumby’s doing” nature in the early part of A:MR — so I think it’s worth a look.
