And the reason I may be repeating the Van Dort tree — I now have a basic Liddell family tree! Which is filled with dead people! Yay! Notes on this:
- I’m thinking the reason both Lorina and Arthur are only children is because both their parents were older when they had them — in fact, I may have a proto-headcanon about one of their mothers being a widow who remarried kind of late.
- Alice never really knew her grandparents all that well, though whether they all died when she was a child or at least one died during her stint in the asylum isn’t something I’ve decided yet. Either way, it means that she’s got basically no living relatives when she gets out of Rutledge. Ouch.
- The names of the grandparents and Alice’s mother are taken from the real-life Alice’s grandparents and mother. (Though I had to make up Beatrice’s last name. Couldn’t find it online.)
